Sisters

Fresh from the post, this afghan in the most cheery colours imaginable has been claimed by the cats as very worthy. My sister Alison “whips these out” she says. Hmm, I suspect there is a bit more work than that involved. Though I remember one year when we were teenagers when she made about a dozen over the course of a long, cold winter. One of my ex-boyfriends from those long ago days is reported to still have his, a happy bumble bee striped black and yellow. I remember. (The afghan, not the boyfriend so much.)

Thank you Alison! I will wrestle the cats for this one. It is great.

(The portrait of those perfectly gorgeous women is from an old postcard. It came with the afghan in the mail yesterday. Sisters. Need one say more?)

Love the picture of you both although I don’t really remember when it was taken, perhaps at the farm? And she really does whip them out again!!!

Hi Mom, the picture begs the question, which side of the family do we take after? And yup, crochet will do that, turn someone into an afghan machine…Love M

I gladly give up one of the “whipped up afghan’s” to people that I deem worthy. By the way, my twisted sister, you are totally over qualified. Glad you like it and tell those dratted furballs to back off, its yours. By the way, when did I lose my teeth and gain such a terrific figure, I can’t seem to quite put my finger on the date?

Sorry, I forgot to add, that the daily walks (or is it Pilates) you take have given you such a svelte but sturdy body that others can only be envious of. Don’t be modest, pictures don’t lie. We look fabulous!!

No, remember it’s the hot yoga, that’s what works so well to keep us trim! And the fur balls have been duly warned…
